Introducing Steve Wheeler: the poet

I guess many readers will know Steve Wheeler. Formerly a teacher and researcher at Plymouth University and more recently a consultant dealing with all things about technology learning and teaching, Steve is a prolific writer and speaker particularly through his popular blog, learning with 'e's, with the strap line ". "My thoughts about learning technology and all things digital."

But more recently Steve seems to have reinvented himself as a poet, both through performances and through publishing several books of his poetry. As well as his books, Steve has another blog, Signed, Sealed and Delivered: "A space for all my poetic ramblings, lyrics, short stories and other musings about life, the universe and everything."

And feeling very short of time at the moment, I loved this poem from the blog, "Calling time." I'm going to invite Steve onto the reaunch of our Sounds of the Bazaar podcast in the next few weeks.

Thanks for featuring my poetry in your review Graham. I guess I’m going back to my roots rather than reinventing myself. I was a performance poet in the 70s-80s before I got into academia. I would be delighted and honoured to take part in any of your future Sounds of the Bazaar broadcasts – that would bring back some great memories! Hope to speak to you soon.
