At our recent AI Pioneers Network Seminar on Research Based Digital Transformation in VET, Cesar Herrero and Anastasia Economou from the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission presented on digital transformation in education, highlighting the importance of digital competence for educators and the impact of AI. They emphasized the need for personalized learning, teacher training, and aligning VET with labor market demands. They also introduced the SELFIE and SELFIE for Work Based Learning tools for educators. The discussion also touched on the social implications of AI and the importance of human agency.
