AI is hot say L&D professionals

There's an interesting result from Donald H Taylor's annual L&D Global Sentiment Survey of over 3200 professionals in the field. As he says there could only be one answer to the obligatory question: “What will be hot in workplace L&D in 2024?” AI dominated voting in every region and area of work. But a the same time, when asked to describe their greatest challenge in workplace L&D this year, more people used the term AI and its derivatives than any other.

Interestingly, out of other options for trends this year the two runners up were Personalization/adaptive delivery and Learning analytics - both of which are increasingly predicated on AI.

My guess is that if you ran a similar survey with teachers and trainers in vocational education and training you would get much the same answer - AI is hot but it is dangerous!
