The UK Jisc have published the third edition of their series on Artificial intelligence (AI) in tertiary education.
In this edition they say we "summarise the current state of play, including insights into emerging use cases and guidance on ethical considerations.”
Despite the success of early adopters, predating the release of ChatGPT Jisc say “AI is not without its challenges - be those legal, ethical or technical – and progress towards digital transformation is likely to be problematic if we are solely reacting to external technology drivers.” The issue of Digital transformation seems to be an increasing focus concern. But despite that Jisc believe “there are now strong foundations to enable further adoption of AI in colleges and universities, and to face the challenges and opportunities presented by the relentless pace of AI advances we are currently seeing.”
